Eligibility:

• Large food businesses with an annual turnover exceeding ₹20 crores.
• FBOs involved in import and export of food products.
• Large manufacturers, storage units, transporters, marketers, distributors, and retailers operating in multiple states.
• Businesses operating at the central level such as ports, airports, and railways.

Scope:

• Allows operation across multiple states and internationally.
• Ensures compliance with national and international food safety standards.

Validity:

• Typically valid for 1 to 5 years.
• Renewal is required before expiry.

Documentation:

• Form B (completed and signed).
• Photo ID and address proof of the FBO.
• Proof of possession of premises (e.g., rental agreement).
• List of food categories to be manufactured.
• Food safety management plan or certificate.
• Details of directors/partners/proprietors.
• Supporting documents (e.g., No Objection Certificate from the local municipality, proof of turnover).
